In 2007, Meg opened her boutique, Scout & Molly's, in the Shoppes at Friendly in Greensboro, NC. She added sophistication to the shabby chic decor along with warm and unassuming customer service. This combination, along with the work ethic instilled by her parents, turned heads in the Greensboro area and attracted customers from surrounding areas, as well.

Experiencing immediate success and taking on her own name brand for the store at the end of 2008, one can look at her preparation to see that it was certainly no accident. Meg's love for fashion had been nurtured through the years, as her mother and grandmother always had high regard for beautiful clothing, and provided her with exposure and appreciation for unique and beautiful pieces. Majoring in fashion merchandising at Meredith College, she studied and worked in many settings, including Raleigh, Paris, and Atlanta. Upon graduation, she took a job as a wholesale representative for Simpatico Showroom based in Atlanta, and traveled to markets in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and New York, as well as hundreds of boutiques in the southeastern United States.

Today, Simply Meg's has moved into a larger retail space in the heart of Midtown Greensboro. Opening in January 2018, the new and improved Simply Meg's continues to offer a unique shopping experience for its customers, based on expertise, experience, and a sense of style that is always up-to-date and fashionable. Meg brings the "best of the best" from the designers they represent in a setting that stimulates your senses and offers you unparalleled personal service and attention, Simply Meg's offers beautiful choices for savvy and fashionable ladies of all ages.

In 2023, Meg expanded her passion and launched a second 'cousin' location, Simply Jo's, in Sarasota, Florida, featuring carefully curated high-fashion discoveries, catering to the most discerning customers in the Sunshine State.
